So yesterday was my last day at work--I hadn't originally planned to work so long, but of course, there is always more to do! And I certainly had things to do until 8:30p last night (had to go to a meeting, that's why it was so late). But I AM DONE! I am on maternity leave, and can now fully switch my mind over to being fully focused and excited for baby girl to come. At the same time, I am soaking in this time with Caden too--these last days with him as an "only child". Its weird how you (I have heard this from other mothers which makes me feel better) sort of mourn that loss as you expect another little one--that special bond of time spent and your relationship with just you and your first born child. But then I know once we meet her it will be as if we never knew life with out her. And I truly am excited to see who this little miss will be, and see the big brother that Caden will be. I laugh because already I have fed into the 2nd child stereotype--barely took any bump pictures as my belly progressed, wasn't as faithful in my pregnancy journal, haven't packed for the hospital or completely organized her clothes or room and am just 11 days away from my due date. In fact, I really am just 6 days away from meeting her! We are getting induced on Monday the 15th! This was for a few factors--one--she is sitting SUPER low. Like really dropped so low. And man, am I feeling it. I am officially waddling in pain most of the time. Also, since its my 2nd they are more flexible on inducing. And my sister was a big factor too! I of course want her to be here, right by my side (like she was with Caden) as I give birth, and this way she knows when baby is coming and is flying out Sunday the 14th and will be staying with us until Friday. SO excited! So as of right now, I am scheduled for 11am on the 15th. (They are trying to move the time up to earlier that morning, but we will see Friday at my drs appointment if its any earlier). So now I am washing baby clothes, as I ended up having 4 (um crazy) showers--one by our small group (a couples shower which was fun),2--thrown by work, 3-(a surprise ) by a group of girls I've done Bible Study with through Voyagers Church (where my in laws go), and 4--thrown by my close friend Bethany for girl friends. I can honestly say this baby girl has more clothes than Caden, Jon and I combined. :) We feel so blessed, and its been so fun to have so much pink around the house! Now I am just trying to organize it all! So while I admit I did do a lot of "2nd child" stereotype things with this pregnancy, I did want to make sure I got pregnancy pics done with this one. I do remember how quickly you forget how your belly was, so wanted to document that as well as get some pics of Jon and I, and Caden too. So here some of them are--they turned out beautiful! The same girl who did our Christmas pics, Rosina, did them--she is awesome! I love her eye and her style--she captured things beautifully!
The last month was CRAZY--work seemed to occupy most of it since I was trying to squeeze in months worth of work in a few weeks. But I also decided to sneak in Caden's 2nd Birthday party. I really wanted Caden to have a party since its his last as an only child (yes, that's my issue, as Caden couldn't have cared less). Here are some pics from it! We originally scheduled it at Northwood Park (Castle Park) with a bounce house, but the weather did not comply. We ended up switching it that morning to Jon's parents house (SO grateful for their generosity and willingness---they were so kick back about it and it was so great). It all turned out to be so much fun--and Caden had a blast. Aside from the "Happy Birthday" singing portion of the afternoon, when he proceeded to melt down and yell No! No! with his hands out as everyone sang. Um, overwhelmed much? Poor little man. But other than that, he had fun running around with his little friends and his family. :)

All 3 preggos--this is our "2nd round" of pregnancies together!

After party with Uncle Chewie and Aunt Jamie--opening Cars presents!(Which he LOVES!) This is more his style--less people, more playing.
So hopefully I will have/will make the time to post one more time before Baby girl comes! We have kept her name a surprise, which has been fun (and I am super proud of myself--I suck at secrets!). And soon enough we will meet this little girl and see her face! I can't wait!!! Off to switch a load of baby laundry!
